Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Stain Remover — Restore Photos application ("the App") published by Bulpara Inc ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Stain Remover is an iOS application that restores old and damaged photos. You pick a photo, tap Restore, and an AI model repairs damage such as water stains, mold and foxing, tears, scratches, creases, and fading. An optional Colorize companion mode adds color to black-and-white photos. Restoration runs on hosted infrastructure: the photo you submit is uploaded to our backend, stored transiently on Cloudflare R2, and processed by Replicate, then the restored image is returned to the App. Features include a one-tap flow (no mask, brush, or prompt), a before/after compare slider with free reject-and-retry, batch album restore, and restore history (Premium).

2. Important Limitations

Stain Remover uses generative AI to reconstruct damaged areas. It is a restoration aid, not a forensic or exact-reproduction service. You understand and agree that:

• Results are an AI reconstruction. The model can approximate or invent detail in areas that are heavily destroyed, and may alter fine details.
• On severely damaged regions, including faces, the reconstruction may not exactly match the original. The App makes no claim of identity preservation or forensic, evidentiary, or legal accuracy.
• Output quality depends on the condition, resolution, and content of the photo you submit.
• The Colorize mode produces plausible, era-appropriate color — not a record of the original colors.
• The App is not a replacement for professional photo restoration or archival conservation.

Always review the before/after compare slider and reject and retry — free — if a result does not meet your expectations.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and only on photos you own or have the right to process. You agree not to:

• Submit photos you do not own or otherwise have the rights to restore
• Use the App to remove or alter watermarks, logos, copyright marks, or any third-party or copyrighted content
• Use the App to create misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent images, or to misrepresent a person
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App, or attempt to extract any model or service it relies on
• Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or free-tier limitations
• Use the App in any manner that violates applicable laws or third-party rights

4. Subscriptions & Billing

• Free tier: No charge. 1 full-resolution but watermarked restore per device, with an optional +1 restore unlocked by sharing. There are no recurring free restores.
• Premium Monthly: $7.99/month (no free trial). Unlimited restores (fair use ~40/month), no watermark, full-resolution downloads, Colorize, batch album restore, and full restore history.
• Premium Annual: $44.99/year (save 53% vs. paying monthly), including a 7-day free trial. The free trial is available on the annual plan only. Same Premium feature set as monthly.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple’s Terms of Service.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• If you cancel during the free trial before it ends, you will not be charged.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Existing subscribers retain their original price for the remainder of the active term.

5. User Content

You retain all rights to the photos you submit. Photos are processed transiently to perform the restoration you request and are automatically deleted within 24 hours; you may also delete them immediately from Settings. We do not keep, review, or use your photos to train AI. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and packaged content, is owned by Bulpara Inc and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of your photos and the restored results you create with the App.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT RESTORATION RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR A SPECIFIC PHOTO.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BULPARA INC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Decisions made based on a restored image, including any reconstructed or colorized detail
• Differences between a restored result and the original photo, including identity drift on heavily damaged areas
• Loss of original photos due to user error or device failure
• Subscription-related charges that fall under Apple’s billing policy

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bulpara Inc from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, including any photos you submit, restore, and distribute, and any claim that you lacked the rights to a photo you processed.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the business.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
